Fun with my big brother

So this week my brother Josh came, who i haven't seen since April. Which is way to long! He came late Tuesday night, and stayed till Thursday. It was so nice to see my big brother. I missed him so much. We got to show him what we do, and how our daily life is here at Boot Camp (which is a mission training camp..thingy..that we are going through) I think his favorite was Language Lab, he got along so well with the kids. One of the girls came up to me and said "I like your brother..a lot!" haha! Then she went up to him and kissed him on the cheek (she is 3) so cute :D And i got some great pictures while he was with us. Check them out,

Wonderful Weekend

So this weekend we had a retreat up at the campus. And of course i brought my camera, cause they have the most beautiful flowers up there, and my teacher takes us on these AWESOME field trips :) So i knew there were going to be great pictures in the making. The retreat was relaxing, we just got to chill. The kids got to run around, like kids. And they haven't been able to do that since the move, since we don't live in the nicest part of town. And i got to read, and think. While my parents learned about Power of Evangelism. And got to practice with people out on the streets. I also learned the power of God. He is amazing! I learned that he loves me. Like REALLY loves me :) And cares for me. And if He has a plan NOTHING is going to stop Him. Nothing. So here are some pictures that a took this weekend.

Now our teacher was driving us home, and she told us that we should pick some flowers for our mom. We agreed, so she pulled to the side of the road, and Benji and Laura jumped out of the car (both wearing flip-flops) After a few minutes Benji came back shaking his head, he got in the car and said that he stepped in a sticker patch, and his feet where killing him. Laura was close behind him, shaking her head. On her way to the car, she stepped in a sticker patch, and had stickers ALL over her feet. And she said the flowers where to hard to pull. But Benji was determined to get those flowers, so he jumped out of the car. And was off. After a few minutes he came back, this sour look on his face, stomping on the side of the rode, with beautiful flowers in his hand. And that explains this picture :)

Rose Garden

So today we went to this beautiful rose garden, it was amazing. I think it was made for photographers :) The had bridges everywhere, and random benches. I loved it! The had these fountains of..undressed people..so that was somewhat awkward..My family would run ahead of me, while i sat in one place, taking 100 pictures, of the same flower, then i'd have to wander the whole garden until i found them again. Then something else would distract me, and i would lose them once more. But i got some great pictures, so i guess it was worth it. Then we went to the library, and we heard this kid behind us say "You're right that IS a big family!" Obviously they haven't met the Duggars yet :P So here are some of the pictures i took, that i was quite happy with.

The sky of OKC

Now if you know me you know that i love the sky. A lot. And i think that God favors the sky in Oklahoma. Cause everyday it's something new. Even when there's not a cloud in the sky it's beautiful. Sunsets, sunrise. It's amazing. So i always have my camera with me, when i'm going somewhere in the the car. Because the sky always promises to be amazing. So yup. That's all.

Hi i'm Melissa. I've loved photography for as long as i can remember! I got my first camera when i was 10, and i fell in love. It wasn't the nicest camera though. So i saved up to get a better one, and on my 13th birthday i did :) But it just wasn't good enough. So i got a babysitting job. And saved up for a couple of months, I didn't buy anything at all. Then this year on my 14th birthday, i got the camera i've been wanting. I couldn't believe what i was holding in my hand. I began to cry. I love taking pictures of nature, random objects, and people. My older sister Kate, and my younger sister Laura are my 2 models :) I love doing computer graphics also, so i like playing with the pictures i take :) I hope you enjoy my photography, and watch me improve.
